Leafy Middle Park, with its laid-back atmosphere and beachside location is a inner-city favourite. Brimming with beautiful homes, a charming shopping village, a bustling café scene and a warm and welcoming community, it’s no wonder this quietly affluent neighbourhood is home to many young families and retirees. The combination of period buildings, bayside living and easy access the city makes it one of the most desirable suburbs in Melbourne.
Middle Park contains some of the best-preserved Victorian architecture in Melbourne and is part of a strict heritage conservation area. Middle Park is a mix of Victorian and Edwardian terraced, semi-detached as well as some apartments closer to the beach.
We’ve helped update or transform many beautiful terraced homes using plantation shutters, roman blinds and sheer curtains. Straight drop awnings have also been popular to enclose balcony spaces on the terrace houses and protect the strong sun on north and west facing windows. All of these options are available with motorisation for the ultimate convenience.

- Middle Park had a train running through it from the 1800s, however it switched to a light rail (tram) line. Unusually, there’s a cafe at the stop: Mart 130 (“Mart” is tram backwards).
- Middle Park, or Oval 18 as it was once known, sat on an old landfill site in between the Albert Park Lake and the St Kilda railway line. The stadium could fit 18,000 fans and spectators could stand from wherever they chose. It was always full when South Melbourne played Heidelberg. The stadium was bulldozed and the place where Middle Park stadium once stood is now a pit lane for the Australian Grand Prix.
