Curtains, Blinds, Shutters & Awnings In Beaumaris
Beaumaris is one of Melbourne’s most distinctive bayside suburbs, known for its leafy streets, beautiful beaches and remarkable collection of mid-century modern architecture. Located approximately 20 kilometres southeast of Melbourne’s CBD, the suburb combines a relaxed coastal lifestyle with a strong architectural heritage.
Beaumaris is particularly renowned for its mid-century homes, many built during the 1950s and 1960s. Characterised by clean lines, expansive windows, natural materials and a strong connection between indoor and outdoor spaces, these homes sit alongside contemporary residences and thoughtfully renovated family homes.
Nicholls Interiors has completed numerous residential and commercial projects in Beaumaris, helping homeowners select custom window furnishings that complement their architecture while enhancing privacy, comfort and light control.
Our Brighton showroom is approximately 12 kilometres from Beaumaris, with full-size displays and an extensive collection of fabrics and finishes. We also offer complimentary in-home consultations, bringing samples and expert advice directly to your home.
Window Coverings in Beaumaris
From original mid-century residences to contemporary bayside homes, Beaumaris properties often feature generous glazing, open-plan living areas and outdoor entertaining spaces. Selecting the right window furnishings means balancing natural light and views with privacy, insulation and protection from the sun.
Popular solutions for Beaumaris homes include:
Custom Curtains
From lightweight sheer curtains that filter natural light to fully lined blockout curtains for bedrooms and living spaces, our custom-made curtains are tailored to complement the architecture and interiors of your home. Full-height curtains can soften expansive glazing while providing privacy, insulation and light control.
Luxaflex Blinds
As a Luxaflex Gallery, Nicholls Interiors offers an extensive range of premium blinds, including Duette Shades, roller blinds, Roman blinds and motorised window coverings. These versatile solutions are particularly well suited to Beaumaris homes with large windows, where managing sunlight, privacy and thermal comfort is important.
Plantation Shutters
Elegant and practical, plantation shutters provide adjustable light control, privacy and airflow. Their clean lines complement both traditional and contemporary Beaumaris homes, making them a versatile choice for bedrooms, living areas and street-facing windows.
Outdoor Awnings
Straight drop and folding arm awnings provide shade and sun protection for balconies, terraces and outdoor entertaining areas. They can also help reduce heat and glare entering through large windows and sliding doors, particularly in homes with extensive north or west-facing glazing.
With more than 100 years of experience creating custom window furnishings for Melbourne homes, Nicholls Interiors understands the importance of selecting products that respect a home's architectural character while meeting the practical needs of everyday living.
Whether you're restoring an original mid-century home, renovating an established property or building a contemporary residence in Beaumaris, our team can help you find the right combination of curtains, blinds, shutters and awnings.
