A Contemporary Family Home Designed for Comfort, Function and Timeless Style
This Brighton East residence presented an exciting opportunity to transform an already beautiful home into a highly functional and comfortable family sanctuary. Working closely with our clients, Nicholls Interiors delivered a comprehensive interior design, renovation and furnishing solution that enhanced both the home's aesthetics and day-to-day liveability.
Intelligent Window Furnishings for Comfort and Energy Efficiency
A key priority for the homeowners was improving thermal comfort throughout the home while maintaining a clean, sophisticated aesthetic.
To achieve this, we installed motorised Luxaflex® Duette® Shades throughout the property. Renowned for their unique cellular construction, Duette Shades provide exceptional insulation, helping to regulate internal temperatures and improve energy efficiency year-round.
Within the original section of the home, we complemented the Duette Shades with custom-made motorised curtains crafted from premium 100% linen and fully blockout lined. The result is a seamless blend of softness, privacy and light control, all operated effortlessly at the touch of a button.
Custom Living Spaces Tailored to Family Life
The living room was reimagined with a bespoke banquette seating arrangement designed specifically for the space. Our team designed and commissioned the custom banquette along with a handcrafted table, creating an inviting zone for entertaining, family meals and everyday living.
To complete the interior scheme, we sourced and supplied custom-made sofas and carefully selected rugs, ensuring every piece complemented the home's architecture, colour palette and lifestyle requirements.
Outdoor Comfort Without Compromise
The home's outdoor entertaining areas were enhanced through the installation of three motorised Luxaflex® MagnaTrack® systems.
Engineered to withstand winds of up to 175km/h, MagnaTrack systems provide superior protection from heat, glare and changing weather conditions while preserving views and airflow. The motorised operation allows the homeowners to effortlessly adapt their outdoor spaces throughout the year, extending their usability across all seasons.
Kitchen and Bathroom Renovation
Beyond the furnishings, Nicholls Interiors was engaged to design and manage a comprehensive renovation of the kitchen and bathrooms.
